This week planned engineering works in between the Herne Hill and London Blackfriars areas will close some lines during late nights on the weekday and on the weekend.
On the weekend there will be no Thameslink services running to and from Sutton due to planned works in the Herne Hill area.
Here’s everything you need to know:
Tuesday, January 30 to Friday, February 2 - Amended early morning service between Herne Hill and London Blackfriars
From Tuesday until Friday engineering work taking place overnight between Herne Hill and London Blackfriars will close some lines.
Until 5am services will be revised to start and terminate at Herne Hill.

Alternative Travel
Thameslink customers are being advised to use tickets on London Buses between Sutton and London Blackfriars, and on London Trams between East Croydon and Wimbledon.
Saturday, February 3 & Sunday, February 4 - No Thameslink trains to and from Sutton
Over the weekend, engineering work taking place between London Blackfriars and Herne Hill will close various lines.
As a result, no Thameslink trains will run to and from Sutton.
Additionally, Thameslink trains that run between London Blackfriars and Sevenoaks via Catford will instead run hourly and will be diverted to run between London Victoria and Sevenoaks via Catford.

Alternative Travel
Thameslink customers are being advised to use tickets on London Buses between the following stations:
- London Blackfriars and Streatham.
- Streatham and Sutton (either via Wimbledon or via Mitcham).
- London Kings Cross and Elephant & Castle (routes 63 / N63).
- London Kings Cross / St Pancras and Kentish Town (route 214).
Additionally, Thameslink customers can also travel via London Trams between Wimbledon and East Croydon, and London Underground services between King’s Cross St Pancras and Blackfriars, Charing Cross, London Victoria, and Elephant & Castle.
For travel between West Hampstead and Kentish Town West, customers are being advised to use London Overground services to travel between these stations over the weekend.
