MARKET traders in the town can now find empty pitches easier thanks to the council joining a website.
Dartford Council has joined up to findamarket.net to advertise the markets and vacant pitches in the town.
Now, instead of calling market operators, traders in Dartford can visit the website, put in what they sell and the dates they want to work, and see instantly if there is any space available.
Portfolio holder for markets, Councillor Patsy Thurlow, said: "Dartford is traditionally a market town and our Thursday and Saturday markets are extremely popular with shoppers and traders alike.
"It is important we ensure there are a variety of products available at the markets and the findamarket site will help us to raise our profile while helping traders find the best place to sell their goods."
The site is free to use for anyone interested in finding information on markets and market vacancies.
