A school in south east London has hired three new staff members to senior leadership positions.
Blackheath High School GDST has welcomed Kristina Lewis to the role of Deputy Head, Academic, for the senior school.
Ms Lewis joins from Francis Holland School Regent’s Park, and will now be responsible for leading the academic work of Blackheath High.
She said: "I am committed to girls’ education, to creating an ambitious learning environment where every student is encouraged to take risks to learn and grow, and to fostering girls' voices so that they can navigate the world with courage, empathy and competence.
"The commitment to celebrating every individual for her own talents and achievements is what first drew my attention."
Monica Patel has also joined the team as the junior school's Deputy Head, Academic.
Ms Patel will be in charge of ensuring an innovative and ambitious curriculum, aligned with cognitive challenge, while also driving the school's skills-based programme, "Mighty Girls Challenge".
Starting her career in creative arts, Ms Patel has been teaching for 15 years.
She said: "The leadership team is passionate about taking care of the whole child: their academic potential as well as their emotional wellbeing.
"There is also a focus on ensuring that the curriculum and our teaching and learning are of the highest standard."
The Blackheath High School Sixth Form faculty has also expanded with Frederique Cheyns joining as Assistant Head (Head of Sixth Form).
Joining from Townley Grammar, Frederique is responsible for the strategic direction of the Sixth Form, with emphasis on the student's journey post-18.
Ms Cheyns said: "To be welcomed into such a close, warm community is a huge privilege."
The new Head of Sixth Form added that she was drawn to Blackheath High School by the "uniquely individualised approach, fostered by small class sizes and seminar-style teaching".
Responding to these new appointments, Blackheath High School Head teacher Natalie Argile said: "We are delighted to welcome Kristina, Monica and Frederique to our community of inspirational teachers and leaders.
"Their exceptional academic and pastoral talents will enable Blackheath High School to continue to flourish and grow."
