A woman still remains in a critical condition with the suspect still at large after a stabbing in Bexley.
Pictures from the scene show a large police presence and road closures this morning (January 17).
The incident happened on Penhill Road with Metropolitan Police responding promptly after being alerted at 4.07pm on January 16.
The Metropolitan Police have confirmed that the victim, a woman in her 30s, remains in a critical condition.
Officers are currently on Penhill Road carrying out enquiries as the suspect, who is reportedly known to the victim, is still on the loose.
Inspector Graham Rickard stated that officers were on the scene within "three minutes of the initial report" and began administering first aid before she was taken to hospital.A woman who lives nearby the scene, told the News Shopper: "It’s really scary.
"You hear about stabbings nearly every day now, it really is terrifying".
No arrest has yet been made.
Inspector Rickard outlined the ongoing efforts, ensuring residents that officers are conducting comprehensive inquiries in the area.
