Two men have been charged with murder after a man died following an assault at a home in Charlton.
Radoslaw Brzezicki, 41, of Erwood Road in Charlton, and Marius Bruzas, 49, of Longmoore Street in Westminster, have been charged with murdering 58-year-old Robert Dlugosz.
Robert died three days after reports that he was assaulted at an address on Erwood Road.
Police were called to the address at 2.47pm on Wednesday November 22.
They found Robert was injured as well as a 47-year-old woman who had sustained minor injuries.
Police said that while officers were arresting two suspects Robert became seriously ill.
Officers conducted first aid, before colleagues from London Ambulance Service arrived on scene.
He was rushed to hospital but died on Saturday November 25.
The Met said Robert’s next of kin have been informed and will be supported by specialist officers.
Brzezick and Bruzas appeared at the Old Bailey yesterday (December 18).
They will now face a trial, scheduled to take place in September 2024.
