A man murdered in Charlton has been named for the first time in court.
Robert Dlugosz, 58, died from a head injury after he was assaulted on Wednesday November 22.
Police were called to a residential property on Erwood Road at around 2.45pm following reports that a man and a woman had been assaulted.
On arrival, police found Dlugosz with injuries consistent with assault.
A 47-year-old woman had sustained minor injuries at the scene as well.
Officers conducted first aid until London Ambulance Service arrived and took him to hospital in critical condition.
He died in hospital as a result of his injuries on Saturday, November 25.
His next of kin have been informed.
A post-mortem examination gave the cause of death as a head injury.
Two men were arrested by officers at the scene on suspicion of assault.
Radoslaw Brzezicki, 41 of Erwood Road, Charlton and Marius Bruzas, 49 of Longmoore Street, Westminster were both charged with grievous bodily harm on Robert and actual bodily harm on the woman.
Both appeared at Bromley Magistrates’ Court on Friday, November 24.
As a result of the death of Mr Dlugosz, both men were subsequently charged with murder on Monday, December 18.
They will appear at the Old Bailey on March 4, 2024 for a pre-trial preparation hearing.
