The oldest pub in Greenwich could undergo a refurbishment with flats added to the site.
Greenwich Council is considering proposals to revamp the Grade II listed establishment, Plume of Feathers, located on Plumstead High Street, and introduce nine new flats to the area.
Originally approved in November 2022, the plans involve the construction of two new buildings on the pub site to accommodate the proposed flats.
The recent submissions to the council provide details on the construction, highlighting improvements to the pub, including enhancements to fire safety measures and heat retention.
KKM Architects, representing Dhadda Estates, submitted the planning documents, noting that the pub, dating back to the 17th century, has remained vacant for several years due to structural challenges.
The documents outline the intention to respect the building's historic character while bringing it up to contemporary standards through the addition of the new structures.
