Engineering works taking place between Sydenham and Crystal Palace will affect travel over the weekend – here’s everything you need to know.
ASLEF has announced that industrial action will take place on Sunday, December 3, affecting a number of train operators serving south London.
ASLEF additionally announced an overtime ban which is set to be in effect from Friday, December 1 until Saturday, December 9.
On Sunday, December 3 there will be no Thameslink services running throughout the day as ASLEF members take industrial action.
This will impact travel for Thameslink customers over the weekend, with Thameslink advising customers to travel with Southern during the day of the strike.
Over the weekend from Saturday, December 2 until Sunday, December 3 engineering works taking place between Sydenham and Crystal Palace will close some lines.
As a result some services will be amended over the first weekend of December.
Here’s everything you need to know:
Saturday, December 2
On Saturday, a bus replacement service will run between Streatham Hill and West Croydon via Tulse Hill.
Trains running between London Victoria and London Bridge to West Croydon will run between London Bridge and Streatham Hill only.
On Saturday, services between Beckenham Junction and London Bridge will not run.
Sunday, December 3
On Sunday a rail replacement bus service will run between Balham and West Croydon via Tulse Hill and Sydenham.
Additionally, services between London Victoria and London Bridge will not run on Sunday.
