A Dartford sandwich shop is celebrating being named one of the favourites of the neighbourhood.
Sally Sue’s Sandwich Bar, based on Vincent Road, received a letter from Nextdoor telling the shop that it had been named a Neighbourhood Fave by the app.
This means that people who lives in the Dartford area will have voted for their favourite, local businesses and Sally Sue’s was one of the most loved spots.
They took to social media to share the news, after receiving a letter from Nextdoor to let them know they had won.
In their Facebook caption, they said: “We can’t believe it!
“Thank you so much to all our loyal and new customers.
“We really do appreciate each and every one of you that orders and helps our small business.”
Sally Sue’s Sandwich Bar also shared the letter on Facebook.
It said: “Congratulations! Your business is officially one of the most loved by locals.
“Neighbours voted for your business and you have been crowned as one of Nextdoor’s first ever Neighbourhood Fave Winners.
“Besides the bragging rights and the trophy icon on your Nextdoor business page, you also receive a Neighbourhood Fave 2023 sticker to proudly display in the window of your business wherever all of your customers can see.
“In case you don’t know, Neighbourhood Faves is Nextdoor’s brand new local business awards.
“We know your business plays a starring role not just now, but in your neighbourhood all year round, in fact, neighbours tell us that being able to discover and support local businesses like yours is one of the main reasons they use Nextdoor.
“Sharing local recommendations, discovering new businesses and getting important updates from the community is what makes Nextdoor special and I want to thank you for being a part of that.”
