This week engineering works will affect some early morning and late night services running between Dartford and Gillingham, New Cross Gate and Crystal Palace, and Gillingham and London Bridge, as well as services in the Tulse Hill area.
On Saturday and Sunday, services running to and from Sutton and Wimbledon will not run.
We’ve rounded up all the Thameslink changes this week affecting south London and what you need to know:
Monday (November 20) – Friday (November 24) – Bus replacements between Dartford and Gillingham
Between Monday and Friday, engineering work taking place between Dartford and Gillingham will be closing some lines, affecting early morning and late night travel.
Buses will replace late night and early morning Thameslink services between Dartford and Gillingham on these days.
From 11:55pm on Monday to Thursday evenings, until 4:20am on Tuesday to Friday mornings, buses replace trains running between Dartford and Gillingham.
Tuesday (November 12) – Friday (November 24) – Amended Tulse Hill trains
Engineering works in the Tulse Hill area will lead to some lines being closed, affecting services running between Luton and Bedford, Luton and Sutton, and Three Bridges and Brighton.
This will particularly affect customers travelling to the south London stations of Elephant & Castle, Loughborough Junction, Herne Hill, Tulse Hill, Streatham, Mitcham Eastfields, Mitcham Junction, Hackbridge, Carshalton and Sutton.
From 12:25am until 3:35am between Tuesday and Friday mornings, Thameslink Wimbledon Loop services will start and finish at Herne Hill or Elephant & Castle.
Customers can instead use their tickets on Southern services or London Buses to complete their journeys.
Saturday (November 25) – Sunday (November 26) – No services to and from Sutton and Wimbledon
On Saturday and Sunday, engineering works taking place between Herne Hill and Tulse Hill will close some lines during these days.
No Thameslink services will run between Herne Hill and Sutton, and Herne Hill and Wimbledon, whilst works take place.
Instead, passengers are advised to use their Thameslink tickets on London Buses to complete their travel.
Sunday (November 26) – Amended services between New Cross Gate and Crystal Palace
On Sunday, there will be amended services running between New Cross Gate and Crystal Palace, and New Cross Gate and West Croydon.
This will affect Thameslink services between London Bridge and Horsham and Brighton affecting the south London stations of London Bridge, Norwood Junction, East Croydon, South Croydon and Purley.
On Sunday, Thameslink trains that run via Norwood Junction and Purley will run to an amended timetable, with extended journey times.
Sunday (November 26) – Amended early morning Gillingham to London Bridge services
On Sunday, planned engineering work taking place between Gillingham and Gravesend will close some lines affecting early morning services.
The 6:34am Gillingham to London Bridge service will start from Gravesend.
A replacement bus will run at the earlier time of 5:55am from Gillingham to Gravesend, allowing customers to connect with the train to London Bridge.
