Police have issued an update on the condition of a pedestrian after a crash with a lorry in Greenwich.
The incident happened in Shooters Hill Road at 7.25am yesterday (November 8).
Officers were called to the scene and found a pedestrian injured.
They were taken to hospital for treatment where their condition was assessed as critical.
Today (November 9), police say the patient is in a “stable, yet critical” condition.
An air ambulance, one ambulance crew, two paramedics in fast response cars, an incident response officer and the Hazardous Area Response Team attended the scene.
Road closures were in place following the incident.
A spokesperson for Metropolitan Police said: “Police were called by the London Ambulance Service at 07:25hrs on Wednesday, 8 November to reports of a lorry in collision with a pedestrian on Shooters Hill Road, SE10.
“Emergency services attended. The pedestrian has been taken to hospital in a critical condition.
“Road closures are in place.”
A spokesperson for London Ambulance Service said: “We were called at 7.15am today (8 November) to reports of a road traffic collision in Shooters Hill, Greenwich.
“We sent an ambulance crew, two paramedics in fast response cars, an incident response officer and members of our Hazardous Area Response Team.
“We also dispatched London’s Air Ambulance.
“The first paramedic arrived in less than five minutes.
“We treated a patient at the scene for chest, head and leg injuries and took her to a major trauma centre as a priority.”
