Severe flooding has led to the complete closure of all lanes on the M25 anticlockwise entry slip at junction J1A near the Dartford Tunnel.

This situation is causing significant disruption, with delays expected to exceed 3 hours according to UK Traffic Delays.

Gusts of more than 100mph have left thousands of homes without power, forced school closures and caused travel chaos after Storm Ciaran battered the south of England and the Channel Islands.

Met Office has issued yellow weather warnings for rain and wind until 11:59pm today (November 2).

A flood alert has also been issued for Dartford as Storm Ciaran hits the south east of the UK today.

The UK Government website has said that flooding is possible in this area and that local water levels and weather conditions should be monitored.

The area at risk of flooding is from Westerham to Dartford, including Brasted, Sundridge, Chipstead, Dunton Green, Otford, Eynsford and South Darent due to the River Darent.

People are being told to avoid using low-lying footpaths or entering areas prone to flooding.
