Two males have been arrested after a baseball bat was seized on a New Cross street.
Officers from the Evelyn, Deptford, and New Cross Safer Neighbourhood Teams (SNT) were conducting a patrol on Pomeroy Street, SE14 when they received a report about two individuals carrying a baseball bar.
The officers responded and the two males were subsequently arrested on suspicion of possessing offensive weapons.
The weapon is a large black baseball bat with the word “bat” painted on it.

Lewisham Police’s twitter account praised the local New Cross team for their work.
