New data has revealed the Bromley postcodes with the fastest and slowest selling homes in the borough over the last year.
Data collected by Property Solvers over the 12 months between October 2022 and October 2023 has revealed the areas in the borough of Bromley where properties sold the fastest and the slowest.
On average, house sales across Bromley were found to take an average time of 124.38 days to complete over the last year, with Orpington (BR6) being ranked as the quickest area for property sales to be completed.
Data from house buying firm Property Solvers tracks data from the moment a property is listed on the UK’s leading property portals, to the point where it’s marked as officially ‘sold’ at HM Land Registry.
According to data taken over the last 12 months, which analysed over 503 properties, these were the fastest and slowest postcodes for property sales.
The fastest selling postcodes
The fastest selling area in Bromley according to data was revealed to be Orpington (BR6), with homes on average taking 108 days to sell.
The second fastest selling area for properties in the borough was Chislehurst (BR7), with homes taking an average of 113 days to sell.
The area of Bromley (BR1) was third fastest in the borough, with properties taking an average of 115 days to sell.
The slowest selling postcodes
The slowest selling postcode according to data was Bromley and Keston (BR2), with properties taking an average of 139 days to sell.
Swanley was ranked as second slowest with properties taking an average of 133 days to sell, followed by West Wickham (BR4) with properties taking an average of 131 days to sell.

- Beckenham (BR3) - Average 129 days to sell for 8 properties
- West Wickham (BR4) - Average 131 days to sell for 33 properties
- Swanley (BR8) - Average 133 days to sell for 36 properties
- Bromley & Keston (BR2) - Average 139 days to sell for 79 properties
Ruban Selvanayagam of Property Solvers said: “The property market is certainly in a different place relative to a couple of years ago.
“The continued pressures on the mortgage sector and buyers ability to secure the right kind of finance has resulted in delays with sales completing.”
