Barclays customers across South East London may have noticed the app and online banking was not working earlier today (October 17).
According to Downdetector, there was a peak of 2,732 Barclays outage reports at 12.10pm.
The site shows 67% of those reports were due to mobile banking and 31% were due to online banking.
In a recent update to its users, the Barclays UK Help account on X, formerly Twitter posted: “We’re sorry about our ongoing issues with our app and Online Banking.”

This included a statement that said: “We’re so sorry you’re still not able to use our app or Online Banking.
“We’re very busy over the phone at the moment – we appreciate your patience whilst we’re working to get everything back up and running.
“You can also use your cards and cash machines as normal.
“Thanks for continuing to bear with us.”
However, Barclays has now confirmed the “technical issues” have since been fixed.
On X, the latest statement said: “You can now log into your app or Online Banking as normal.”
