A popular Christmas light trail will be returning to Eltham for its fourth year running.
The Greenwich Council run Christmas light trail, Sparkle in the Park, will be returning to the stunning location of Avery Hill Park.
For four days over the festive period, the park will be transformed into an enchanted winter wonderland for guests to explore.
The historic Winter Garden will also be illuminated for guests to see.
Visitors will also have the chance to explore the Christmas market, with performances from choirs run by community groups and local schools.
This year, guests will not be required to have a ticket due to the larger space and it is open to the public to visit.
However, Greenwich Council has advised that guests may expect to queue during busy times.
There will also be a quiet hour on Sunday (December 3) for children and adults with disabilities and sensory sensitives, with reduced noises, no flashing lights, reduced numbers of people and a sensory appropriate line-up of entertainment.
Sparkle in the Park will run from November 30 until December 3 from 4:30pm to 9pm daily.
Councillor Adel Khaireh, Cabinet Member for Equality, Culture and Communities, said: “We know the rising cost of living is an ongoing challenge for everyone, so delivering free, high-quality events for our communities to enjoy is more important than ever.
“Last year’s Sparkle in the Park was a huge success.
“We want to make sure even more residents can enjoy the magic this time around, so you won’t require a ticket to enter.
“Come along with your friends, family and neighbours for a fantastic, free event on your doorstep.
“The festive season is a great time for our residents to come together as a community and celebrate.
“Enjoy free arts and crafts and support local traders at our Christmas markets in Eltham, Greenwich, Thamesmead and Woolwich and we'll need your help to light up some of our town centres, too."
