We’ve rounded up all the planned Thameslink service changes and closures happening this week in south London.

This week planned works taking place in Streatham and Sutton will close some lines between Monday evening and Friday morning, with services from Luton to Sutton terminating at Wimbledon.

Services running between Gatwick Airport and Purley will be affected due to engineering works taking place between Friday and Sunday.

Over the weekend, engineering work taking place in Bromley South will close all lines, with trains only running between Sevenoaks and Swanley.

Additional engineering works will also affect trains running through Greenwich, with trains being diverted to Lewisham or Barnehurst.

Here’s a full roundup of all the Thameslink changes happening this week:

Monday, October 16 – Thursday, October 19

From Monday to Thursday, engineering work taking place in Streatham and Sutton will close some lines overnight on Monday evening until Friday morning.

The 10:54pm service from Luton to Sutton will instead terminate at Wimbledon.

Thameslink customers are advised to use London Buses to complete their journey from Wimbledon.

Friday, October 20 – Sunday, October 22

Between Friday and Sunday, engineering works taking place between Gatwick Airport and Purley will close some lines after 11:45pm on Friday, and all day on Saturday and Sunday.

Trains will instead divert to Redhill, with extended journey times.

A revised train service will be in place on these days for stations between Purley and Gatwick Airport via Redhill.

Sunday 22 October: No trains via Bromley South or Greenwich

Changes to the Bromley

South line On Sunday, engineering work taking place in Bromley South will close all lines.

Trains will be running between Swanley and Sevenoaks only.

A replacement bus service will run between Herne Hill and Swanley.

Customers are advised to use alternative methods of travel, including Southern services or London Underground, to complete their journeys.

Train diversions from Greenwich

On Sunday, engineering work taking place at London Cannon Street, between Deptford and Slade Green, and between London Bridge and London Cannon Street, will close various lines on Sunday.

Trains that usually run via Greenwich will instead be diverted to Lewisham or Bexleyheath, calling additionally at Lewisham, Blackheath, Eltham, Bexleyheath and Barnehurst.
