The UK's biggest video game convention has arrived in London, and it’s just across the river from south east London.

EGX 2023 is set to take place from October 12–15 at the ExCel Centre London – with everything that a gaming fan could ever wish for packed into four days.

The convention offers attendees the chance to try out a bunch of pre-release games both on PC and console as well a behind-the-scenes look into the industry.

It will also host the largest collection of independently developed video games in the UK.

The four-day event also hosts esports tournaments, cosplay (costume) competitions, and opportunities to engage with leading games designers and developers if you are looking to get ahead in the gaming industry.

For the competitive gamers, open tournaments for Street Fighter 6 and Tekken 7 are on the cards at the EGX Arena, with a £5,000 prize pool at stake for each game.

EGX 2023 isn’t just about the games, though.

The convention poses a host of opportunities for families to engage with the gaming world.

A dedicated Family Zone will have the Family Gaming Database team at hand to help parents and children find and play their perfect game together.

A special 'TikTok Lounge' is being set up, giving attendees the chance to meet some of their favourite creators including TommyInnit and Bekyamon.

Nintendo is also set to wow visitors at EGX 2023, presenting the UK’s first public demo of the much-anticipated Super Mario Bros Wonder.

The convention will also see Ubisoft’s upcoming title Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown, which will be available for fans to play in the new Handheld Zone.

Other notable attractions to look out for includes SEGA showcasing their latest instalments of two popular franchises, Sonic Superstars and Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth, for the first time in the UK.

Additionally, attendees have a chance to participate in a series of fascinatingly insightful panels.

Director Sam Lake will be offering a closer look at Alan Wake 2, and a Q&A session with the cast of Baldur’s Gate 3.

There are also planned anniversary celebrations for British classics Fable 2 and Banjo Kazooie.

Also on offer are sections such as the classic game-centric Retro Zone, indie-friendly Rezzed Zone, board game-filled Dicebreaker Zone, merchandise offerings in the Retail Zone, and even a place for card game enthusiasts in Card Corner.

Day tickets are still available at ShowClix.com.
