Bluewater’s popular ice rink is returning next month – here’s everything you need to know.
Starting from November 14, Bluewater’s popular ice rink will return for the festive period until January 7, 2024 with booking now officially open to the public.
Located outside the Village, the ice rink will offer visitors a chance to skate under the cover of a clear roof in all weathers.
The ice rink is situated close to a number of popular restaurants and eateries in the Village including: Buenasado, Carluccio’s, Cote Brasserie, Pizza Express and Zizzi’s.
Alongside its regular sessions, the rink will also be running additional ticketed sessions including quiet sessions at 10am on Saturdays and Sundays and parent and toddler sessions on Monday and Fridays at 12pm.
Skating aids and penguins will also be available for small children needing some additional support.
For the adults, the popular Ice Rink Party Nights will be returning by popular demand, where guests can skate to party music soundtracks on Friday evenings.
The ice rink officially opens from 4pm on November 14 with sessions every day, except Christmas Day, up until January 7, 2024.
In addition to the ice rink, Bluewater’s Believe Christmas Grotto will also be returning to the Lower Rose Gallery on December 1 with a brand new look, offering guests the chance to visit Santa.
James Waugh, Centre Director at Bluewater, commented: “Christmas is truly one of the most magical times of the year here at Bluewater, and we’re thrilled to be welcoming back our Ice Rink following its fantastic reception in previous years.
“With sessions to suit all, and skate aids on hand for those who need them, the Ice Rink is always a family-favourite here at Christmas.
“Our new grotto is also sure to get visitors in the Christmas spirit and, alongside hundreds of shops and restaurants, plus free thousands of free parking spaces, Bluewater is the perfect festive family day out.“
