We’ve rounded up all the planned Thameslink engineering works and service changes affecting travel in south London this week.
This week planned engineering works in the Sevenoaks area will affect late night services running between London Blackfriars and Sevenoaks, with some late night services being revised.
Over the weekend, planned engineering works in Bedford will affect services running between Sutton via Mitcham Junction and Wimbledon.
Customers are advised to check and plan ahead before travelling.
Here’s everything you need to know:
Wednesday October 4 – Thursday, October 5
From Wednesday until Thursday engineering works taking place between St Mary Cray and Sevenoaks will close some lines, affecting late night travel between London Blackfriars and Sevenoaks.
The 11:22pm service from Sevenoaks to London Blackfriars will be diverted to end at London Victoria and will not call at Elephant and Castle.
The 11:46pm service from London Blackfriars to Sevenoaks will be diverted after Bickley calling at Petts Wood and Orpington.
Customers travelling between Bickley and Sevenoaks are being advised that a rail replacement bus service will run between Bickley and Sevenoaks via Otford.
Saturday, October 7 – Sunday, October 8
Engineering work taking place in Bedford will affect some lines, including services running between London and Herne Hill and Sutton and Wimbledon.
On Saturday, a revised timetable will affect trains running between Kentish Town and Herne Hill. No Thameslink trains will be running to and from Sutton via Mitcham Junction or Wimbledon.
Customers travelling to stations between Herne Hill and Sutton via Mitcham Junction or Wimbledon should instead travel on London Underground or TFL bus services.
On Sunday, services running between Kentish Town and Herne Hill will again be affected, with trains not running to and from Sutton via Mitcham Junction or Wimbledon.
A revised service will also be running on Sunday between London Bridge and Gravesend, with a rail replacement bus service between Rochester and Rainham.
