London Ambulance has confirmed that several resources including an air ambulance were sent to the scene of a fatal stabbing in Petts Wood.
Yesterday (September 20) police were called to the scene of Jubilee Park in Tent Peg Lane in Petts Wood.
A man, believed to be 19, died at the scene from his injuries.
Ambulance crews were called to the scene just before 2.30pm, and sent also an advanced paramedic, an incident response officer, a medic in a fast response car and a clinical team manager.
An air ambulance was also despatched by London Air Ambulance services.
Police have confirmed that his next of kin have been informed and that a post-mortem examination will be held at a later date.
A crime scene has been put in place and an investigation has been opened by Met’s Specialist Crime Command.
A spokesperson for London Ambulance Service said: “We were called at 2.28pm yesterday (September 20) to reports of an incident on Blackbrook Lane, Bromley.
“We sent multiple resources to the scene, including an ambulance crew, an advanced paramedic, an incident response officer, a medic in a fast response car and a clinical team manager.
“We also dispatched London’s Air Ambulance.”
A spokesperson for Met Police said: “Police were called by the London Ambulance Service at about 14:30hrs on Wednesday, 20 September to reports of a man stabbed in Jubilee Park close to Tent Peg Lane in Petts Wood.
“Officers and the Air Ambulance attended. Despite their efforts, the man - who is believed to be aged 19 - sadly died at the scene.
“His next of kin have been informed but formal identification has not yet taken place.
“A post-mortem examination will be held in due course.
“A crime scene remains in place and detectives from the Specialist Crime Command are leading the investigation.”
