Southeastern has announced new early morning services for Bexley passengers set begin later this year.
Southeastern has announced new timetable changes to some services, with some of those to cover the Bexley area.
The new service changes will involve an additional morning service on the Sidcup line.
An additional early morning service via Greenwich and Sidcup will run, along with additional stops announced for Albany Park in the early morning.
These new changes are set to begin from December 10 this year.
In a statement, Cabinet Member for Places, Cllr Richard Dimet, expressed hopes that these changes would help Bexley regain some of its “lost” services following Southeastern’s timetable changes made last year.
Cabinet Member for Places, Cllr Richard Diment, said: “This is great news for the borough’s train users.
“Alongside our Transport Users' Sub-Committee I have recently made representations to Southeastern to improve local services especially following timetable changes made last year.
“This once again shows that working together we can make a difference for our residents and have our voices heard.
“We will continue to feed back to Southeastern as they look at their plans for next year’s timetable which I hope will see further progress towards restoring the services lost by Bexley’s residents last year."
