We’ve rounded up all the planned service changes and closures as engineering works in south London affect travel this week and weekend.
This week engineering works taking place at Herne Hill will affect travel between East Croydon and London, with some late night and early morning services being affected.
On the weekend (September 16 and 17), planned engineering works at New Cross Gate will close some lines, with no Thameslink services running to and from London Bridge.
Here’s everything you need to know:
Wednesday, September 13 – Friday, September 15
From today until Friday, planned engineering work at Herne Hill will close some lines, affecting early morning services between East Croydon and London.
Between 12:20am and 4:50am each evening, trains normally running via Herne Hill will instead be diverted to run on alternative routes, with some trains being retimed to start or finish later or earlier than usual.
Saturday, September 16 and Sunday, September 17
On Saturday and Sunday there will be no services running to and from London Bridge, due to engineering works taking place in New Cross Gate.
Trains to and from Gatwick Airport, and Bedford services which run via Redhill, will only run between London Blackfriars and Bedford only.
Trains running between Sutton and St Albans City via Mitcham will not run.
Customers travelling to Mitcham Junction can use Southern services to and from London Victoria at no additional cost.
