Kent Police has released a CCTV image of a man as part of an urgent search following a “suspicious incident” in Gravesend.
On Saturday, September 2 at 6.10am police were called to the Pelham Road area following reports of a man seen possibly carrying a gun.
After a search of the area, police did not find anyone matching the man’s description.
Police ask that anyone who recognises him or has information calls 999 quoting 46/157727/23.
A spokesperson for Kent Police said: “Detectives have released a CCTV image as part of an investigation into a suspicious incident in Gravesend.
“Kent Police was called at 6.10am on Saturday 2 September 2023 to the Pelham Road area of town, following a report a man had been seen in possession of a possible firearm.
“An extensive search of the area was carried out but no one matching the man’s description was located.”
Detective Chief Inspector Chris Rabey said: “An investigation to establish the full circumstances is ongoing and our officers are continuing to explore several lines of enquiry to identify and locate the suspect.
“It is important we speak to the man pictured and I would urge anyone who recognises him or who has any other information to call us on 999, quoting reference number 46/157727/23.”
