A popular Indian restaurant in Brockley has been named Best Restaurant in this year’s Asian Restaurant Awards.

Babur in Brockley, which has been in business for 38 years, was recently named Best Restaurant for London Suburbs at the Asian Restaurant Awards 2023.

The awards ceremony brought together 500 of the UK’s leading Asian restaurants in a variety of categories, including Fine Dining and Newcomer of the Year awards.

The restaurant offers diners modern Indian cuisine, serving contemporary dishes like their sword fish tikka masala and mango brulee.

There are a number of menu options to choose from including the A La Carte Menu, as well as a daily two course Set Lunch menu for £22.95, and a Sunday Buffet menu for £21.95 for adults and £14.95 for children.

As well as food, Babur offers a wide selection of classic and uniquely crafted cocktails, with the Currytini being one of its most popular options made with curry leaf.

To mark its 38th anniversary Babur is also currently offering a five course tasting menu for £54.95 or £85.95 with wines.

Babur also offers catering services and a large private event space in their outside marquee.

The restaurant has received mentions from the AA Restaurant Guide 2023, The Michelin Guide London, and Harden’s London Restaurants 2023.
