A teenager from Bromley is delighted to have secured her place in the grand final of Miss Junior Teen Great Britain after being crowned Miss Junior Teen Bromley.
Summer Clark from Hayes is looking forward to attending the final which is scheduled to take place on Saturday, October 14 at The Globe in Blackpool.
The pageant will see teenagers between ages 13-15 from all over the country working for the title of Miss Junior Teen Great Britain.
The weekend promises to be packed with excitement and a range of activities, including a Beauty Queen Challenge day and a pyjama diva party.
Summer's mum Katie Clark explained that her journey to the grand final hasn't been just about glitz and glamour, but she has been working to raise money for chosen charity Together for Short Lives.
Summer’s mum, Katie Clarke, said: “Making it to the grand final is a dream come true for Summer she is hoping she will be able to win the Little Miss Junior Teen Great Britain crown for Bromley, raise money for a wonderful charity and inspire other teenagers to try something different and go after your dreams.”
Summer completed a gruelling 99,000 step fundraising challenge in just one week, with each step symbolising child with a life-limiting or threatening illness.
This was the equivalent of walking nearly two marathons.
She has also contributed back to the charity through dog walking and donating her old toys and clothes to charity.
So far, Summer has raised an impressive £1,674 and hopes to continue fundraising before the deadline of October 13.
Summer's efforts have not gone unnoticed as she has garnered the sponsorship of local businesswoman Dali Valentina, who is the talented designer behind www.valentinasboutique.co.uk.
Dali creates her own clothing brand and handcrafts all of her creations.
For Summer, making it to the grand final is a dream come true and is not only motivated to win the crown for Bromley, but also to raise awareness and funds for the deserving charity.
Summer also hopes that her journey will inspire other teenagers to step outside their comfort zones and pursue their dreams.
