Southeastern Railway will be running a limited service as strike action is set to affect trains this Saturday (September 2).

If strike action is cancelled at short notice, Southeastern has said that it may not be able to switch back to its normal timetable immediately.

Southeastern Railway has also apologised for any inconvenience the strike action may cause.

No replacement buses will be running for routes that are closed.

Planed engineering work will take place at New Cross, causing some Southeastern trains that are running not to go to London Bridge as usual, but to London Victoria instead.

Trains via Greenwich will go to London Bridge.

Southeastern encourages passengers expecting disruption to plan ahead and check their entire journey.

Trains that d run are likely to be busier, start later and finish earlier.

Passengers may not be able to board trains at stations where a limited service is running, especially on the first few trains in the morning.

Queuing systems will be in place at some stations to ensure that trains have enough room onboard for customers to join all along the route.

Only 57 out of 180 Southeastern Rail stations will be open.

A spokesperson for Southeastern Railway said: “If you are travelling expect some disruption, plan ahead and check your entire journey.

“If the strike action is cancelled at short notice, we may not be able to switch back to our normal timetable immediately.

“Rail services are built in complex, interrelated IT systems covering fleet, crew schedules and rosters, and so it takes some time to get everything back to normal.
