A brand new B&Q has opened in Sutton High Street – and pictures from the opening show it was all smiles.
The store opened on Thursday, August 24, and includes displays featuring design ideas from kitchens and bathrooms, to living areas, providing creative inspiration for customers.
B&Q Local Sutton has 17 colleagues and offers 6,000 products instore as well as over 30,000 products for home delivery or Click & Collect.
The new store welcomes Trade customers who can join the TradePoint scheme which offers free membership to exclusive discounts for trade professionals only.
It’s open 7am to 8pm Monday to Saturday and 10am to 4pm on Sundays.
Ahead of the much-anticipated opening day celebrations, earlier this month the team from B&Q Local Sutton undertook a community volunteering day at Sutton’s Local Women’s Centre.
The day’s activities saw the team repaint the rooms to make them cleaner and brighter, as well as improving the outside of the building to make it feel more welcoming to visitors.
This was part of B&Q Community Days program, which is focused on getting B&Q colleagues out into their local communities to improve a space for a charity local to them.
The Mayor of Sutton, Councilor Colin Stears, who officially opened the new store said: “It was a pleasure to join the B&Q Local Sutton team for a venture around their exciting new high street store. I look forward to the convenience it will bring to the community of Sutton and helping to support everyone’s home improvement needs.”
