Two youths have been arrested after an attempted robbery took place on board a train at Lewisham DLR station.
Officers were called to Lewisham DLR station shortly after 8pm yesterday (August 28) following a report of an attempted robbery on board a train.
Armed police attended and identified two young men who were allegedly found with a hand gun and two knives.
The weapons were seized, and both suspects were arrested in connection with the incident and taken to police custody where they remain.

A spokesperson for BTP said: “Officers were called to Lewisham DLR station shortly after 8pm on 28 August following a report of an attempted robbery on board a train.
"Armed police attended and quickly identified two young men who were found in possession of a hand gun and two knives.
“The weapons were seized, and they were both arrested in connection and taken to police custody where they remain.
“Anyone with information who hasn’t already spoken to police can contact BTP by texting 61016 quoting reference 639 of 28/08/23.”
