We’ve rounded up all the London Overground service changes and closures affecting travel in and out of south east London this September.
Throughout September engineering works taking place between West Croydon and Sydenham, and New Cross Gate and Crystal Palace will affect some lines.
There will be some amended services, with trains not calling at certain stations, whilst engineering work takes place.
Some late night services will also be affected, with rail replacement buses running between certain stations.
Here’s everything you need to know:
Saturday, September 2 – Sunday, September 3
Between Saturday and Sunday there will be no services between Surrey Quays and Clapham Junction or Battersea Park as a result of engineering work.
Instead, a rail replacement bus service will run between Canada Water and Clapham Junction.
On Sunday, no services will be running between Norwood Junction and West Croydon due to engineering work.
Instead, trains will divert after Sydenham to start and terminate at Crystal Palace.
Monday, September 11 – Thursday, September 14
Between Monday and Thursday, engineering work taking place between Sydenham and West Croydon will affect late night travel.
After 11pm on these days, there will be no services running between Sydenham and West Croydon whilst engineering works take place.
All trains to West Croydon will instead be diverted to Crystal Palace.
A rail replacement bus will run between Norwood Junction and West Croydon.
Passengers are being advised to use alternative travel options such as Southern services between Sydenham and Norwood Junction, or local buses.
Saturday, September 16 – Sunday, September 17
During these dates, planned engineering work will be taking place between Sydenham and West Croydon.
On these days, no trains will run between New Cross Gate and Crystal Palace or West Croydon.
Passengers can instead travel on Southern services between New Cross Gate and Crystal Palace or West Croydon or London buses or London trams.
Monday, September 18 – Thursday, September 21
Due to engineering work, trains after 11:45pm will not run between New Cross Gate and Crystal Palace or West Croydon on these days.
Passengers can instead travel with London buses or London trams to complete their journey, or use Southern services between New Cross Gate and Crystal Palace or West Croydon.
Saturday, September 23 – Sunday, September 24
Engineering works taking place between New Cross Gate and Crystal Palace or West Croydon will affect travel on these days.
On these days no services will operate between New Cross Gate and Crystal Palace or West Croydon.
There will be four trains running per hour between Highbury & Islington and New Cross Gate.
Trains running between Clapham Junction and Dalston Junction will be extended to Highbury & Islington.
Passengers are being advised to complete their journey with London Underground or London bus services via any reasonable route, or Southern buses between New Cross Gate and West Croydon or Crystal Palace at no additional cost.
