A south east London tube station has partially shut as emergency services were called to a “casualty on the track”.
Elephant and Castle tube station is partially shut and there is currently no service on the Bakerloo line between Elephant and Castle and Lambeth North while the incident is dealt with.
Tickets are being accepted on London buses as an alternative to passengers.
TfL Access tweeted: “Elephant & Castle station closed due to a customer incident.
“Tickets are being accepted on London buses.”
A statement on the TfL website said: “Elephant & Castle: Part Closed - Station is part closed Bakerloo line services are not stopping while we deal with a customer incident.
“Northern line trains are stopping as normal.
“Bakerloo Line: No service between Elephant & Castle and Lambeth North while the emergency services respond to a casualty on the track.
“NO SERVICE between Queen's Park and Harrow & Wealdstone due to a late finish of Network Rail engineering work.
“SEVERE DELAYS on the rest of the line.
“Tickets are being accepted on London Buses.”
The News Shopper has contacted TfL and the Metropolitan Police for a statement.
