A former Wetherspoons site in Crystal Palace has been put up for sale after closing six years ago.
The Grape and Grain, in Anerley Hill, on the border of Croydon and Bromley, closed its doors in November 2017.
A planning application was approved by Bromley Council to extend the building in May 2019.
This included two storeys on top of the existing pub as well as a three-storey addition on the Church Road side of the building and roof garden.
All development projects were put on hold during the coronavirus pandemic, Wetherspoons confirmed.
A spokesperson for Wetherspoons confirmed today (August 11) that it is no longer looking to develop the pub.
It added that the property has now been put up for sale due to a commercial decision.
The full statement from Wetherspoons says: “Wetherspoon can confirm that it is no longer looking to develop a pub in Crystal Palace.
“It has put the property on the market.
“This is a commercial decision undertaken by the company.”
