This weekend engineering works will close two main London stations – here’s everything you need to know about traveling with Southeastern.
Customers are being advised to plan alternative routes, with trains being diverted to other main London stations as engineering works take place.
On Saturday, August 12 and Sunday, August 13 engineering work taking place between New Cross and London Charing Cross will close all lines over the weekend.
No trains will run to and from London Charing Cross and Waterloo East this weekend. Trains will instead be diverted to either London Bridge, London Victoria or London Blackfriars.
Here’s everything you need to know:
For customers traveling on the Paddock Wood line, trains between London Charing Cross and Ramsgate or Dover Priory via Tonbridge will be diverted to run to and from London Victoria.
Trains on the Hasting line will run to and from London Bridge and run non-stop between London Bridge and Tonbridge via an alternative route.
Trains which usually only run between London Charing Cross and Tunbridge Wells will not run over the weekend.
Trains on the Maidstone East line will instead run to and from London Victoria and will additionally be calling at Bromley South over the weekend.
Sole Street line trains will run between London Victoria and Dover Priory and will be retimed, calling at the additional station of Denmark Hill.
The Sole Street line will also be running a reduced service of 2 trains each between London Victoria and Gillingham.
Customers on the Bexleyheath line will need to travel to London Victoria when travelling to central London and services between London Victoria and Dartford via Bexleyheath will be retimed.
The Woolwich Arsenal line will instead run to Cannon Street, and will run between London Victoria and Dartford via Woolwich Arsenal.
Trains between London Cannon Street and Slade Green via Greenwich will be extended to run to and from Dartford.
The Grove Park line between London Charing Cross and Sevenoaks will be diverted to run to and from London Victoria, and trains between London Cannon Street and Orpington will not run over the weekend.
Customers using the Sidcup line will need to travel to London Victoria instead of Charing Cross, and a reduced service of two trains per hour will run between London and Dartford via Sidcup.
The Hayes line running between London Charing Cross and Hayes will instead run to and from London Blackfriars and will run every 30 minutes calling additionally at Elephant & Castle.
Additional trains will run between London Bridge & London Cannon Street over the weekend.
Where to use your ticket
Southeastern customers are being advised to use their tickets on the London Underground between Victoria, Charing Cross, Embankment, Waterloo, Southwark, London Bridge, Cannon Street, Blackfriars and Elephant & Castle at no extra cost.
Tickets can also be used on DLR services between Lewisham and Greenwich.
