A flytipper who ran and hid from officers when they tracked him down has been hit with a fine of almost £2,000.
Bebi Ibram, 36, of London Road in Swanscombe, was caught on CCTV dumping waste outside flats on College Road in Northfleet last January.
Ibram was served with documents regarding the offence but he failed to respond, then when officers arrived at his home to carry out follow-up enquiries he ran away.
Officers eventually found him hiding in a nearby garden, holding the documents he had originally been sent regarding the offence.
Ibram was charged with fly-tipping and obstructing an investigation but he failed to turn up to court in November 2022.

A warrant was issued and he was arrested by Kent Police’s Rural Task Force.
He was bailed with instructions to attend Medway Magistrates’ Court on July 11 but he failed to turn up yet again.
Ibram was therefore arrested again and eventually appeared in court last Wednesday (July 19).
He was given a 15-month community order including 30 hours of unpaid work and a 10-day rehabilitation requirement.
Ibram was also fined £1,969 and ordered to pay costs of £1,855.
