A Bromley secondary school and sixth form with "extremely positive" pupils and an emphasis on safety has received a glowing Ofsted report.
Ofsted inspectors visited Harris Academy Beckenham on May 4 and 5 and found that it continues to be an 'outstanding' school.
The school was rated as outstanding at its previous inspection back in 2017.
Inspectors found that leaders at the school make sure that all pupils receive an “exceptional” education.
The curriculum is described as “ambitious”, “broad” and “balanced”, and teachers have high expectations for what pupils at Harris Academy Beckenham are capable of.
Ofsted reported that behaviour is “exemplary both in lessons and around the school site”.
Pupils were found to be kind and teachers were found to keep them safe.
There are numerous clubs that pupils can join at the school, such as music, robotics and “library leaders”.
Inspectors found that leaders at the school identify pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) quickly and train staff to provide effective support for these children.
Pupils’ attitudes towards their learning was described by Ofsted as “extremely positive” as they are “focused and purposeful” in their lessons.
Ofsted reported that teachers support pupils in learning about a range of topics, such as staying safe online and healthy relationships.
It was also reported that pupils at Harris Academy Beckenham are given “highly effective careers advice and guidance” and that they receive regular talks from universities and apprenticeship providers.
The welfare and health of staff was found to be well cared for at the school, while teachers' workloads are managed, which the report said helps staff to feel valued.
There is a “strong culture of safeguarding” at Harris Academy Beckenham and staff are well trained in spotting and reporting concerns, said the report.
Ciara Warnock, principal of Harris Academy Beckenham, said: “This is a fantastic outcome and is testament to the whole academy community who have worked incredibly hard to uphold the highest standards in all areas.
“The inspectors’ report is hugely positive and shows how impressed they are with our academy and what we are achieving here.
“It is particularly heartening to read such brilliant comments about our students.
“They were a credit to themselves, their families and our academy community and I could not have been prouder of them.
“We are highly ambitious for our academy and our students and we are determined to continuously enhance standards even further in all areas.
“This report will spur us on to drive standards and find additional ways of inspiring, supporting and challenging our students.”
