A man is fighting for his life after a car crashed into a tree in Grove Park.
At around 1.30am today (July 12), police attended the scene in Somertrees Avenue.
Ambulance crews were also called.
Three people - two men and a woman - were taken to hospital.
One man is fighting for his life.
Enquiries to establish the circumstances of the crash are ongoing.
A spokesperson for Met Police said: “Police were called at 01:22hrs on Wednesday, 12 July to reports that a car had collided with a tree in Somertrees Avenue, SE12.
“Officers attended along with the London Ambulance Service.
“Three people - two men and one woman - were taken to hospital.
“One of the men remains in a life-threatening condition.
“Enquiries are ongoing to establish the circumstances.
“Any witnesses are asked to call 101 quoting CAD 376/12Jul.”
