A man has been stabbed in a tower block in Catford during the early hours of yesterday morning.
Police were called to Thomas Lane SE6 at 4.13am Tuesday morning (July 4) after reports of a man with stab wounds.
The man in his 40s was found in a stairwell and was taken to the hospital by London Ambulance Service.
His condition is not life-threatening.
At this stage, no arrests have been made in connection with the incident.
A crime scene was established but has since been closed by the authorities.
A London Ambulance Service spokesperson said:“We were called on Tuesday 4 July at 4am to reports of an incident at Thomas Lane, London, SE6.
“ We sent a number of resources to the scene including an ambulance crew, an advanced paramedic, an incident response officer and London’s air ambulance.
“We treated a man at the scene and took him to a London major trauma centre.”
A Met Police spokesperson said: “Police were called by LAS at 4.13am on Tuesday, 4 July to reports of a man found with stab injuries at a block in Thomas Lane SE6.
"Officers responded and the man, aged in his 40s, was found in a stairwell.
“He was taken to hospital, where his condition was assessed as not life-threatening or life-changing.
“There have been no arrests at this stage. A crime scene was in place but has now been closed.”
