A fire in the rear garden of a home in Penge which destroyed a fridge is now under investigation.
Firefighters were called to a fire on Lennard Road in Penge at 9.54am this morning (June 28).
A fridge freezer in the rear garden of a property was destroyed by fire, which also caused damage to a shed, a storage unit, a fence panel and guttering.
Additionally, part of a ground-floor flat's kitchen window and door were damaged in the blaze.
Three people escaped the building before the fire brigade arrived, with no reported injuries.
Approximately 15 firefighters from Beckenham, Forest Hill, and Woodside fire stations were involved in the operation brought the fire under control by 10.35am.
The fire caused the road to be closed in both directions while the brigade carried out their work.
The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
