Police have released an image of a man they want to find after an assault in Eltham.

A woman in her 30s was assaulted in an unprovoked attack in a supermarket on Philipot Path.

The incident happened at 12.30pm on Wednesday, March 15; the victim was not seriously injured.

At this stage, no arrest has been made.

As part of ongoing enquiries, officers are releasing an image of a man they want the public’s help in identifying.

Anyone who recognises the man in this picture or who has information which could help police is asked to contact 101 or tweet @MetCC and quote CAD3180/15Mar.

A spokesperson for the Metropolitan Police said: “Detectives investigating an assault in Eltham have issued an image of a man they want to trace.

“The victim, a woman in her 30s, was assaulted in an unprovoked attack in a supermarket in Philipot Path, SE9, at around 12.30hpm on Wednesday, 15 March.

“She was not seriously injured.

“At this stage, no arrest has been made. As part of ongoing enquiries, officers are releasing an image of a man they want to public’s help in identifying.

“Anyone who recognises the man in this picture or who has information which could assist police is asked to contact 101 or tweet @MetCC and quote CAD3180/15Mar.
