AT LAST month's meeting, Paul Rason spoke about Bromley VC Connections.
He outlined the heroics of these brave men. So far no women have received this medal.
The Victoria Cross is made from the metal of old cannons and bears the words For Valor and in more than 150 years 1356 have been presented.
Queen Victoria and Prince Albert were instrumental in introducing this new medal which could be given to all ranks whereas previously only the higher ranks received recognition. The criteria to receive this medal required a conspicuous act of bravery in the face of the enemy.
The guild's next social event will be a Strawberry Tea in Hayes from 3pm to 5pm on Saturday and family and friends are welcome.
