A Metropolitan Police officer has appeared in court charged with harassment and assault.
Pc Daryl Marley pleaded not guilty at Westminster Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday to assault by beating and using threatening, abusive, insulting words or behaviour to cause harassment, alarm or distress.
He is alleged to have harassed a woman and assaulted a man in Westminster while he was off duty on October 29 last year.
Marley, attached to Central West Command Unit, was charged by postal requisition on April 26.
The 32-year-old, of Newport Street, Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire, was given conditional bail until his trial at the same court on September 18.
