A police investigation has been launched into a house fire in Crayford.
The fire broke out in Maiden Lane just before 11pm yesterday (May 31).
Two fire engines and around ten firefighters tackled the blaze.
A part of the ground floor of a two-storey semi-detached house was damaged by the fire.
Two men left the property before the arrival of the brigade.
The fire was under control just before 11.20pm.
Fire crews from Bexley and Erith fire stations attended the scene.
The cause of the blaze is under investigation by London Fire Brigade and Metropolitan Police.
A spokesperson for London Fire Brigade said: “Two fire engines and around ten firefighters tackled a fire on Maiden Lane in Crayford.
“Part of the ground floor of a two-storey semi-detached house was damaged by the fire.
“Two men left the property before the Brigade arrived.
“The Brigade was called at 2246 and the fire was under control at 2316.
“Fire crews from Bexley and Erith fire stations attended the scene.
“The cause of the fire is under investigation by the Brigade and the Metropolitan Police Service.”
