A man has pleaded not guilty to murdering his elderly mum.
Kevin Pearce, 59, is accused of killing 89-year-old Eileen Pearce for whom he was said to be the sole carer.
The death allegedly happened on or before June 5 2021.
The defendant, who lived with his mother in Barton Close, Bexleyheath entered his plea at the Old Bailey by video link from Thameside prison.
Following an application by the defence, Pearce was granted conditional bail by Judge Mark Lucraft KC.
The judge set a further case management hearing for July 27.
Pearce faces a trial of up to three weeks from January 3 next year.
