A 16-year-old boy has been taken to hospital after being stabbed in the back in Eltham.
The incident happened on a 122 bus in Westhorne Avenue at 12pm today (May 19).
Officers and London Ambulance Service were called to the scene and found a boy injured.
He was taken to a south London hospital for treatment where his condition is currently unknown.
No arrests have been made as police enquiries into the circumstance continue.
A crime scene has been put in place following the incident.
A spokesperson for Metropolitan Police said: “Police were called at around midday on Friday, 19 May to reports of a stabbing aboard a Route 122 bus at Westhorne Avenue, SE9.
“Officers and London Ambulance Service attended.
"At the scene a 16-year-old male was found with knife injuries to his back.
“He was taken to a south London hospital by LAS. We await an update on his condition.
“At this early stage there has been no arrest and officers retain an open mind concerning motive.
“A crime scene is in place. Officers remain on scene.
