There is no denying that us south east Londoners know how to have a great night out.
Nowadays we have the likes of Fox and Firkin and the Jolly Farmers in Lewisham which are always busy most nights.
But do you remember some of the old classics such as the Angel Inn, Crown and Anchor, the Duke, and the Queen’s Arms.
To bring back some memories, we used ClosedPubs.co.uk, to compile a list of the pubs that have closed over the years in Lewisham.
The Angel Inn
The Angel Inn was located in 11 Loampit Hill.
It is unknown when it closed its doors but it now has been demolished.
The Crown and Anchor
The Crown & Anchor was situated in 43 Brookbank Road.
It was demolished in 2013 and replaced with flats.
The Duke
The Duke was located in 57 Nunhead Lane.
This pub was also known as the Village Inn which is now used as an Italian restaurant.
The Queens Arms
The Queens Arms was located in 63 Courthill Road, which closed in the early 2000's. The pub has now been converted into flats
