If you’re looking for something to do this summer with friends, your kids, or as a fun day out, look no further than Bluewater.
And while it’s good for shopping of course, I don’t mean that, but instead the UK’s first ever outdoor skydive experience.
Hangloose at Bluewater has unveiled the activity through its partnership with Aerodium.
You can basically skydive without the height and cost, and it felt exactly how I’d imagine real skydiving to feel like - without the nerves of actually having to step out of a plane.
I went with my best friend because we fancied spending our bank holiday a little differently, and we had the most fun day out which made all our friends jealous.

We started with some shopping before heading to Hangloose which is literally just passed the centre’s car park.
There’s also a giant swing and skytrek adventure, but we just did the skydive which we definitely were apprehensive about at first.
We were kitted out, with a glamorous hairnet, a helmet, and skydive flight suits.
Our instructor gave us a detailed explanation of what to expect and told us about the hand signals which would help us to know where to put our arms and legs during the flight.
We were taken to the skydive machine in some woods with beautiful scenery, and some strange bravery came over me to volunteer to go first.
With my earplugs in and goggles on, I headed to the machine where I basically had to let myself fall slightly before a gust of air plunged me upwards.
The instructor was holding onto me and helping me the whole time, giving me signals to make sure my body was in the right position to help me to go even higher.
The flight was two minutes long and I actually ended up going pretty high in the end.
It really did feel like I was flying, and I felt such freedom with it.
It was a weird feeling, and one I’ve never felt before, but it was really fun and definitely a must-do if you are or aren’t brave enough to step out of a plane and go skydiving for real.
