A man has been taken to hospital following a fire that destroyed the first floor of a mid-terraced house in Forest Hill.
Yesterday (May 8) at 8:35pm, fire crews were called to the scene of a house fire on Hampton Road in Forest Hill.
One man was taken to hospital by ambulance crews.
The fire was under control by 9:25pm, and the cause of the fire is currently under investigation by London Fire Brigade and Metropolitan Police.
The incident was attended by four engines and around 25 firefighters, with fire crews from Stafford, Leytonstone, East Ham, and Plaistow fire stations.
A spokesperson for London Fire Brigade said: “Four fire engines and around 25 firefighters tackled a house fire on Hampton Road in Forest Hill.
“The first floor of a mid-terraced house was destroyed by fire.
"One man was taken to hospital by London Ambulance Service crews.

“The Brigade was called at 2035 and the fire was under control by 2125.
“Fire crews from Stratford, Leytonstone, East Ham and Plaistow fire stations attended the scene.
“The cause of the fire is under investigation by the Brigade and the Metropolitan Police Service.”
