London has hundreds of markets, from the world-famous Camden and Borough Market to Leather Lane Market and Spitalfields.

But among the tourist favourites, there are a few that are less known and are arguably better than the more popular destinations.

This includes the New Covent Garden Market which has recently gained mass popularity after going viral on the social media platform TikTok.

Inside London's 4am flower market

New Covent Garden is open to all but is typically used for wholesalers and retailers to get cheap deals on large orders.

But great value products come at a price, as you'll need to get up bright and early to grab the bargains with the market open from 4am until 10am Monday to Saturday.

However, getting up in the early hours is worth it, with fewer crowds than in more popular markets like Columbia Road which tend to leave most with a headache.

Instead, New Covent Garden is stress-free and located next to Battersea Power Station.

The market has thousands of flowers, plants, foliage and more, but you might want a coat as the space is typically kept cool to keep everything fresh.

But you won't get hungry, as the market even has a cafe that offers bacon butties, coffee and of course tea.

TikTok user London Exploring went to the market and shared their experience.

In the video, they shared that space was a "massive warehouse full of fresh wholesale flowers" and that it was "much cheaper than normal retail flower prices."
