A man has been taken to hospital after being injured following a police car chase in Orpington.
Police were pursuing a car in the Orpington area at around 9.12am today (April 26).
The passenger, a man in his 30s, attempted to flee and was injured as he tried to exit the vehicle.
He was taken to hospital by paramedics and his condition is currently unknown.
The driver, 37, was arrested on suspicion of failing to stop for police and dangerous driving.
He has been taken into police custody.
A spokesperson for Metropolitan Police: “At around 9:12am on Wednesday, 26 April police were in pursuit of a car in the Orpington area.
“The passenger, a man in his 30s, attempted to flee but became injured whilst trying to exit the car. He was taken to hospital by the London Ambulance Service; we await an update on his condition.
“The driver of the car - a 37-year-old man - was arrested on suspicion of failing to stop for police and dangerous driving.
“He has been taken into police custody.”
