Planned engineering work will take place on certain Southeastern Railway lines this week.

The work will be taking place between Monday and Thursday on particular routes and may impact your journey.

We have compiled all of the information about this work so that you can properly plan your travel this week.

There are some amendments to evening trains services by Southeastern Railway from Monday, April 24 until Thursday, April 27.

Monday to Thursday:

From 11pm until the end of service, buses replace trains between Dartford and Gravesend.

From 11.25pm until the end of service, trains between London Victoria and Ashford International via Maidstone East will be diverted between Otford and Ashford International to run via Sevenoaks / Tonbridge. Services between London Cannon Street (Monday and Tuesday) / London Charing Cross (Wednesday and Thursday) and Maidstone East will be diverted to run to Sevenoaks. 

Replacement buses will run between: 

  • Sevenoaks and Maidstone East (calling at all stations except East Malling).
  • Maidstone East and Ashford International (calling at all stations).
  • West Malling and East Malling (minibus shuttle).

From 11.50pm until the end of service, buses replace trains between Ebbsfleet International / Gillingham and Faversham.

Tuesday to Thursday:

From 11.55pm until the end of service, buses replace trains between Ashford International and Dover Priory. Trains from London St Pancras International and London Charing Cross to Dover Priory will be diverted between Ashford International and Dover Priory, and will call additionally at Canterbury West.

There will be no late night trains via Lewisham from Monday, April 27 until Thursday, April 27

Engineering work is taking place in the Lewisham area, closing all lines.

From approximately 11.15pm, trains will not be able to stop at Lewisham. Trains via Bexleyheath will not run, or will be diverted to run via Sidcup. Some trains will be unable to run between Lewisham and Hayes.  

Replacement buses will run on the following routes:  

  • London Victoria / Denmark Hill and Lewisham.
  • London Bridge  / Lewisham and Dartford via Bexleyheath.
  • London Bridge and Dartford via Woolwich Arsenal.
  • London Bridge / Lewisham and Ladywell / Hayes.
  • London Bridge and Lewisham.
  • London Bridge/ Lewisham and Charlton via Blackheath.
  • Lewisham and Orpington.
  • London Bridge and Hither Green.
  • London Bridge and Dartford via Sidcup.

There will also be amendments to some late night Southeastern trains

Wednesdays and Thursday

Every Wednesday and Thursday night, Network Rail carry out essential maintenance on the lines to / from London Cannon Street.

There will be no trains at London Cannon Street from approximately 23:35 until the end of service. 

Trains will run to / from London Charing Cross instead, if you could please make your way to London Bridge for these trains.

Monday to Thursday

From 11pm until the end of service, you can use London Underground between Charing Cross, Embankment, Cannon Street, London Bridge, Southwark and Waterloo at no extra cost.
